“Monticello” is a name that evokes history and tradition for the whole country, but especially for those of us at Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge. It also points to an exciting future.
It’s not only the name of Thomas Jefferson’s home just down the road – a prominent part what makes this part of Virginia special – but it also graces Monticello Apartments, which has been at the heart of WCBR for 30 years.
And now, it’s in the process of becoming the newest, freshest thing on our campus.
All this summer, the work is under way, as we remake the hallways, downstairs public restrooms, laundry and trash room – and on a more personal level, the front-door entrance to each apartment.
Monticello is your best residential value in independent living. It’s also the most convenient, being centrally located, enabling its residents to make the most of the dining venues and other amenities at the core of our community.
There are 66 apartment homes. A variety of sizes – ranging from 700-1,422 square feet – and floor plans is available.

Like the beautiful city of Charlottesville of which it is a part, Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge blends metropolitan culture with small-town charm. And Monticello blends the best of modern, convenient living with the Jeffersonian style that has epitomized the most appealing traditions of our history.
