There’s the Marketplace, a casual coffee shop with grab-and-go options. The Dome Lounge offers casual pub food as well as cocktails, Virginia wines and local craft beers. The main dining room features full-service meals as well as salad and soup bars. Patrons at Jefferson’s, our flagship restaurant, enjoy a five-star dining experience and five-course meals.
We offer an amazing array of possibilities, including foods created to meet any special dietary needs. You’ll find vegetarian, gluten-free, low-sodium and fish options, all labeled on our menus to make things a little easier.
The best part: No matter your preferences or tastes, the delectable possibilities are varied and ever-changing. New menus are rotated frequently as they focus on a mix of enduring favorites and new cuisine. Our resident committee regularly reviews the plans, making suggestions and offering ideas.
Some dishes are staples. You’re always going to find Cobb and Caesar salad entrees and a great steak in our main dining room. Fun classics such as hot dogs and hamburgers are standbys, too. The Dome Lounge always offers made-to-order hearth-oven pizzas.
You’ll also notice traditional comfort foods – meatloaf, shepherd’s pie, fried catfish, even liver and onions.
But WCBR also likes to mix it up with offerings such as the Salad of Arcadian Greens and its variety of seasonal ingredients, ranging from dried apricots to pickled blueberries to locally grown apples. The Dome Lounge offers a Fresh from the Wok special that features a vegetable stir fry every day. Chana masala, an Indian dish, and spicy bang-bang shrimp have become favorites among the adventurous in the Main Dining Room and Dome Lounge, respectively.
No matter which restaurant you choose, you’ll know that your meal was made fresh and from the freshest possible ingredients. We make 95 percent of what we serve on site. Our staff includes a chef who’s created meals for WCBR residents for more than 15 years, a bakery staff that prepares fresh scones, pastries and rolls daily and a pastry chef with a flair for creating delectable new desserts.
